Lax by the Sea Recap

With the summer’s first big youth tournament in the books, we want to give a shoutout to the teams that stood out. Here's how it all went down:


2027/28

South Jersey Shamrocks 2028 dominated the Billabong bracket, going undefeated. They edged out NJ Total Select 2028 by one goal and cruised in their other matchups with a 13-4 win over Yellow Jackets Dutchess 2028 and a commanding 16-0 shutout of True Lacrosse Long Island 2028.

In the Quicksilver bracket, Yellow Jackets North Merriman 2028 proved themselves against older competition. They beat Yellow Jackets Dutchess 2027, 8-5, and posted back-to-back 11-1 victories over True Lacrosse Long Island 2027 Weeks and Checkmate Lacrosse.

Mad Dog Shore 2027, out of the Roxy bracket, also went undefeated with hard-fought wins over South Jersey Shamrocks 2027 (6-4), True Long Island 2027 Campi (7-5), and 5 Points (8-4).


2029

All Lax Select 2029 swept the Billabong bracket, defeating 5 Points Lacrosse Bowery 10-1 and edging out Igloo Lacrosse Mountain Hawks (10-9) and Yellow Jackets Dutchess (6-4).

NJ Total Select took the Hobie bracket with a perfect record, including a tough 10-6 win over South Jersey Shamrocks.

Pride Lacrosse Nova Red impressed in the Hurley bracket with wins over Atlantic County Wave (12-5), Team 91 Long Island Fire (12-2), and Long Island Empire (9-5).

In the Reef bracket, Team 91 Long Island Thunder went 3-0 with victories over South Jersey Select Pink (by 10), Long Island Liberty Black (by 4), and All American Aim (by 9).

The Ripcurl bracket saw #18 Tradition go undefeated, taking down CT Grizzlies Pink (7-5), Steps Elite Carolina (7-6), and Jersey Shore Select Blue (11-7).

No surprise in the Roxy bracket—#3 Team 91 Long Island Roar lived up to the hype, finishing 3-0 with wins over #19 Philly Blast Drive, CT Grizzlies Orange, and All American Aim.


2030

Jersey Shore Select claimed the Billabong bracket after a tight 8-7 game against Yellow Jackets Dutchess and convincing wins over Metro Green (10-4) and Ultimate Triple Threat (9-4).

In the Hobie bracket, Mad Dog North NJ went unbeaten, including a 12-4 win over Long Island Jesters Pink Sparrow and narrow victories over South Jersey Select Black and All Lax Select White.

Two teams stood out in the Hurley bracket: South Jersey Shamrocks and Prime Time White, both finishing with two wins and a tie.

The O’Neill bracket also saw two undefeated squads: Metro Blue and CT Grizzlies Yellow. Metro posted a thrilling 9-8 win over Long Island Top Guns Purple, while Grizzlies rolled over their competition.

Steps Elite NJ Blue owned the Quicksilver bracket with wins over Igloo Lacrosse Freeze (7-4), CT Grizzlies Navy (8-5), and Pride Lacrosse Loudon Red (11-2).

The Reef bracket went to Steps Elite NJ White, who beat Long Island Jesters Blue (6-4), All Lax Select Orange (11-7), and Pride Lacrosse Nova Red (12-4).

In Ripcurl, #16 Ultimate Lacrosse LV Blue remained unbeaten, besting #21 Team 91 Long Island Frenzy (7-6), All American Aim (11-5), and #19 Philly Blast Heart (10-8).

The Roxy bracket belonged to #6 Long Island Jesters Black, who beat three nationally ranked opponents, including #5 Prime Time Navy (8-7), #9 Long Island Top Guns Black (10-3), and #8 Hero’s Green (9-5).


2031

Mad Dog North NJ went undefeated in the Billabong bracket, picking up strong wins, including a 14-2 victory over Metro Green.

In Hobie, Predators Lacrosse finished with two wins and a tie, including a shutout of Tradition Pink (12-0).

All Lax Select ran the Hurley bracket with wins over NJ Total Select (9-5), Igloo Lacrosse Wolverines (6-1), and Ultimate LV (8-3).

Prime Time White topped the Jetty bracket with three wins, while the O’Neill bracket saw a 5-5 draw between Metro Blue and Long Island Top Guns Purple, with both teams notching two wins elsewhere.

Be the Best LC Cyclones led the Quicksilver bracket, and Compass Lacrosse Navs dominated the Reef bracket, including a 14-2 win over 3D Garden State.

The Ripcurl bracket featured a gritty effort from #20 Steps Elite NJ White, who narrowly lost to #12 Team 91 Long Island Crush but beat two other top-tier teams.

#13 Philly Blast Fire dominated the Roxy bracket, finishing with three decisive wins, including an 8-goal margin over Legends of NJ Black.


2032

Long Island Jesters Zwicker swept the Billabong bracket, outscoring opponents by wide margins.

Atlantic County Wave excelled in the Hobie bracket with a trio of solid wins.

In Hurley, Long Island Top Guns Purple finished with two wins and a tie.

Prime Time Navy cruised through the O’Neill bracket, including a 12-3 win over South Jersey Select Pink.

Steps Elite NJ Blue went undefeated in the Quicksilver bracket, while All American Aim handled the Reef bracket with three double-digit performances.

Philly Blast Pride also remained unbeaten in the Ripcurl bracket.

In the highly competitive Roxy bracket, #3 Long Island Top Guns Black proved their status with a major 12-4 win over #1 Long Island Jesters Kilgus and additional wins over #14 Legends of NJ and #6 Hero’s Green.


2033

Prime Time White led the Billabong bracket with three solid wins.

Igloo Lacrosse Snow Badgers swept the Hobie bracket, including a dominant 10-1 victory over Long Island Empire Green.

In Quicksilver, Tradition Blue and Steps Elite NJ White both went unbeaten, drawing against each other and winning their other matchups convincingly.

Long Island Top Guns Black ran through the Ripcurl bracket with three 9-goal wins.

The Roxy bracket featured dominant performances from Igloo Lacrosse Valkyrie and Team 91 Long Island Blaze, each winning all three games with ease.


2034

Steps Elite NJ Blue won the Billabong bracket with a strong showing, highlighted by an 8-goal victory over Compass Lacrosse Navs.

Tradition Blue swept the Quicksilver bracket, including a 9-4 win over All American Aim.

In the Roxy bracket, Philly Blast Spark lit it up with three wins, including a 7-goal win over Legends of NJ.
