Top Teams, Rematches, and Championship Bragging Rights: A Recap of One of the Biggest Recruiting Weekends of the Year

With powerhouse matchups, high-stakes rematches, and championship titles on the line, the 2026 class—and their younger peers—put on a show during one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year. College coaches lined the sidelines as top-tier programs battled it out for wins, rankings, and bragging rights. Here's how everything shook out:

Class of 2026

Hero’s Green (#5) stole the spotlight in the Hellacious bracket, emerging as the tournament champions. They posted a 3–1 record in pool play, picking up gritty wins over Top Guns Black (6–5), Sky Walkers Blue (5–3), and Long Island Jesters Black (3–1), avenging a previous loss. Their only stumble came against Florida Select (3–8), but it wasn’t enough to derail their momentum. Hero’s pushed through the playoffs with wins over PrimeTime (5–4) and M&D Black (3–2) in a tense championship final. Will this title boost them in the rankings? Only time will tell.

Three other teams finished 3–1 in the Hellacious bracket:

  • Jesters Black (#12) took down NXT (in a rematch), Sky Walkers, and Florida Select, with their only loss coming to Hero’s.

  • M&D Black (#2) reached the championship, earning wins over Alliance, Top Guns, and Florida Select. They fell to Sky Walkers Blue (#17) in a nail-biting 5–4 rematch.

  • BBL Elite Black (#11) posted wins over Eagle Stix, Alliance, and Sky Walkers but suffered a heavy 11–3 loss to Top Guns.

Top Guns Black (#1), NXT Black (#7), and Alliance National (#13) each finished 2–2. Top Guns defeated BBL and Eagle Stix but lost to Hero’s and M&D. NXT split rematches, beating Eagle Stix (8–4) but losing to Jesters (7–5), while also defeating Florida Select and falling to Alliance. Alliance added a win over Eagle Stix but couldn’t get past M&D or BBL.

Despite only notching one win, Florida Select (#6) managed to upset eventual champs Hero’s Green, 8–3—a result that shook up the bracket. Sky Walkers Blue (#17) also walked away with one key win—a rematch victory over M&D that helped avenge last week’s tight loss, giving them bragging rights in their home state of Maryland.

Eagle Stix Blue (#15) struggled to an 0–4 weekend but stayed competitive in all games except against NXT. Losses to BBL, Alliance, and Top Guns came by two goals or less, hinting that a bounce-back might be on the horizon.

From the Fantastic bracket, CT Grizzlies Navy (#9) went undefeated (4–0), taking down Nor’Easter, X-Treme Lax Factory, ADVNC, and #21 Integrity Green. Though they didn’t face the Hellacious bracket powerhouses, their performance stood out. Integrity also impressed at 3–1, with their only loss coming against the Grizzlies, hoping to parlay the weekend into a Top 20 return.

Class of 2027

Two highly competitive brackets—the Amazing and Beyond—showcased elite matchups, rematches, and emerging summer storylines.

M&D Black (#1) led the Amazing bracket, finishing 3–0–1. Their lone blemish was a tie with #3 Yellow Jackets Stadler, a rematch of last weekend’s two-goal loss. They also beat HHH, Aces, and PrimeTime. If they face Yellow Jackets again this summer, it could be a must-watch.

Hero’s Green (#6) also had a strong showing, going 3–1 with wins over Alliance, HHH, and Triple Threat. Their only loss came in a rematch with the Jesters, who they tied the previous weekend.

Yellow Jackets Stadler and Aces Elite Upstate (#2) both finished 2–1–1. Yellow Jackets tied M&D and lost to Alliance (#5) but picked up wins over Jesters and Eagle Stix. Aces tied HHH, lost to M&D, and won against PrimeTime and Eagle Stix.

At 2–2, Jesters Black (#8), Alliance National, and Eagle Stix Blue (#4) all had solid weekends. Jesters picked up rematch wins over Hero’s and Triple Threat, while falling to PrimeTime and Yellow Jackets. Alliance beat Yellow Jackets and Triple Threat but fell to Hero’s and HHH. Eagle Stix bested PrimeTime and Triple Threat again but fell to Yellow Jackets and Aces.

HHH Philly (#7) posted a 1–2–1 weekend, picking up a tight win over Alliance, tying Aces, and falling to M&D and Hero’s. PrimeTime also ended 1–3, with a lone win over Jesters.

Triple Threat Elite (#11) went winless (0–4), suffering losses in all three rematches (Hero’s, Jesters, Eagle Stix) and a new matchup against Alliance—likely impacting their ranking.

In the Beyond bracket, first-time matchups brought out the best in several rising squads:

  • Coppermine Black (#29) posted an impressive 3–1 record with wins over Philly Blast Courage (#19), Team 180 Tobias, and Liberty Black, losing only to NXT Black (#17).

  • Laxachusetts Black (#12) also went 3–1, losing by just one to Liberty but defeating Team 180, NXT, and MD United.

  • Top Guns Black (#15) joined the 3–1 club with wins over Florida Select (#13), Sky Walkers Blue, and MD United, dropping only to Philly Blast.

  • Florida Select and NXT Black rounded out the group of 3–1 teams.

Philly Blast Courage struggled, going 1–2–1 with a win over Top Guns, a tie with Sky Walkers, and losses to Coppermine and Florida Select.

Class of 2028

Top teams were spread across three brackets, setting the stage for high-level rematches and emerging rivalries.

In the Absolute bracket, Eagle Stix Blue (#1) and MD United East (#9) both went 2–1–1. Eagle Stix defeated MD United (again) and #6 Alliance National, tied Coppermine Black (#10), and fell to Team 180 (#14). MD United secured wins over Alliance and Liberty Black, and tied Coppermine—a reversal of last week’s loss.

Team 180 and Alliance each went 2–2. Team 180 upset Eagle Stix and beat Coppermine but fell to MD United and Alliance. Alliance also beat Liberty. Coppermine Black went 1–1–2, tying both top teams (Eagle Stix and MD United), defeating Liberty, and falling to Team 180.

The Beyond bracket featured several standout performances:

  • Aces Elite Upstate (#11), HHH Philly (#18), and PrimeTime (#2) all finished 2–1–1, beating up on each other in exciting matchups.

  • Aces took down PrimeTime and HHH, lost to Legacy Blue (#20), and tied CCLax Black.

  • HHH beat CCLax and Legacy, tied M&D Black (#7), and lost to Aces.

  • PrimeTime secured wins over CCLax and Legacy and tied M&D 0–0.

M&D Black had an unusual weekend, finishing 1–0–3 with ties against HHH, PrimeTime, and Legacy, and one win over CCLax.

Legacy Blue went 1–2–1 with a highlight win over Aces, but losses to HHH and PrimeTime and a tie with M&D.

In the Crushing bracket, Hero’s Green (#4) shined with a 4–0 record, taking down #17 Jesters Black, Mad Dog West, #13 Crush MD, and #19 Laxachusetts Black.

Sky Walkers Blue (#16) also impressed, going 3–1 with their only loss coming to Toronto Rock Stars. They picked up wins over Laxachusetts, Lax Monkey, and Mad Dog West.

Laxachusetts and Jesters both went 2–2. Laxachusetts defeated Toronto and Jesters but lost to Hero’s and Sky Walkers. Jesters got their revenge against Crush and beat Lax Monkey, falling to Hero’s and Laxachusetts.

Crush MD had a tough showing, going 0–3–1. They tied Toronto and fell to Jesters, Hero’s, and Mad Dog.

As championship battles and rematches shook the standings, this weekend offered a clear glimpse into how the summer season is heating up. With rankings sure to shift, all eyes are on what comes next for these elite high school teams.
