2025 Lacrosse Transfer Portal Report: Who’s Losing Who, and Who’s Getting Who
The transfer portal continues to reshape the college lacrosse landscape heading into the 2026 season.
Programs are both reloading and reeling as players seek new opportunities. Here's a breakdown of some of the most notable incoming and outgoing transfers across major programs this offseason.

Duke – Big Names, Big Upside
● Henry Blake, G, Ohio State (Gr.) – Played in 10 total games, made 27 saves with a 42% save percentage.
● Kyle Colsey, A, Virginia – Five-star freshman with 388 career points at Ridgefield High;missed 2025 due to injury.
● Owen Gaffney, M, Harvard (Gr.) – Appeared in 40 games (19 starts), totaled 67 points;
Second Team All-Ivy in 2023.
● Thomas Mencke, A, Virginia (Gr.) – Played 42 games (9 starts), posted 27 points; ranked No. 7 attackman and No. 27 overall in IL’s Power 100 coming out of HS.

Maryland – Rebuilding with Ivy League Firepower
● Mikey Alexander, D, Yale (Gr.) – Two-time All-Ivy selection, played 55 games with 56 GBs and 30 CTOs.
● Henry Dodge, FO, Vermont – 2025 America East FO Specialist of the Year with a career 63% FO win rate (71% in 2025).
● Trey Fleece, M, UMBC – Defensive midfielder with 35 games, 87 ground balls, and 16 caused turnovers.
● Leo Johnson, A, Yale (Gr.) – 172 career points (101 G, 71 A) in 45 games; IL’s No. 6 recruit coming out of HS and HM All-Ivy in 2023.
● Chris Lyons, A, Yale (Gr.) – 128 goals and 39 assists in 41 games; Tewaaraton Watch List and Second Team All-Ivy in 2023.

Ohio State – Loading Up on Ivy Transfers
● Jackson Birtwistle, A, Syracuse (Gr.) – Played 43 games (8 starts), scored 56 goals
including 14 man-up tallies.
● Jake Cohen, D, Yale (Gr.) – Played 34 games (15 starts), with 24 GBs and 16 CTOs; former IL No. 16 recruit.
● Logan Soelberg, M, Yale (Gr.) – Contributed 12 goals and 6 assists in 38 appearances.
● Brad Sharp, M, Yale (Gr.) – Started every game of his Yale career; totaled 77 points (42 G,
35 A); 2025 Tewaaraton Watch List.

Key Departures – Who’s Leaving and Where They’re Headed
Colgate
● Liam Connor, A, Jr. → Georgetown – 115 points in 2 seasons; 2025 IL All-American with two years of eligibility left.
● Rory Connor, A, Gr. → Georgetown – 194 career points (113 G, 81 A) in 47 games; 2025 All-American honors across three outlets.
● Quinn Fitzsimmons, D, Gr. → Johns Hopkins – Played 43 games (33 starts), with 55 GBs and 40 CTOs.
● Aidan Murnane, D, Gr. → Virginia – Started 39 games with 92 GBs and 56 CTOs; 2024 Second Team All-Patriot League.

Vermont
● Henry Dodge, FO, Sr. → Maryland – Dominant FO man with 71% win rate in 2025 and career mark of 63%.
● Charlie O’Brien, A, So. → Jacksonville – Played 9 games (5 starts), tallied 7 goals and 1assist, including a hat trick vs. NJIT.

● Charles Pope, A/M, Gr. → North Carolina – 2024 America East Offensive Player of the Year with 89 career points (68 G, 21 A) over 39 games.
