2 Way Takes the LWSC Crown
Lacrosse World Series Championship – Day 3 Recap
2Way World Series came into the Lacrosse World Series Championship ranked #5 in the country—respected, but not the favorite. From the opening whistle of pool play, they quicklyproved they were on a mission. Day 1 set the tone with back-to-back blowout wins over 3D GA and Express North, showcasing their smothering defense and fast-paced, unselfish offense.
Day 2
brought three more convincing victories, including a 12–1 win over Orange Crush, 15–3 over Beast, and a composed 10–4 finish against BBL Central LWSC. Their ability to dominate in all phases of the game earned them the #1 overall seed going into bracket play. On Championship Thursday, they kept the momentum rolling. In the quarterfinals, they handled Eclipse Navy with precision and poise. Then in the semifinals, they faced their toughest test yet against LI Express Schwalje—a physical battle that 2Way ultimately controlled down the stretch to advance to the
final. With a perfect 6–0 record heading into the championship, 2Way had proven they were no longer an underdog, but the team to beat.
Team 91 LI Cyclones, ranked #6 nationally, also came into the tournament with something to prove—and they delivered. Their pool play performance was nearly flawless. On Day 1, they dismantled Utah Prime 9–3 and routed Team Israel 14–1. Day 2 was more of the same, as they rolled through Harvest, Igloo Black Ice, and Duke’s Elite, finishing pool play with a perfect 5–0 record and a +38 goal differential—one of the most dominant in the field. That performance earned them the #2 seed and a favorable path through bracket play. In the quarterfinals, they continued to control games, moving past True IL 2030 with confidence. In the semifinals, they met a tough Towermen squad and battled through a physical, grind-it-out matchup. The Cyclones stayed composed, leaned on their balanced scoring, and held on for a 7–5 win to reach the final.
Across six games, they had shown consistency, depth, and elite execution on both ends of the field—positioning themselves perfectly for a shot at the title.
Both teams entered the championship undefeated at 6–0, having taken down top-ranked programs in every round. 2Way World Series and Team 91 LI Cyclones each proved they belonged at the top, and their tournament runs reflected the depth, discipline, and determination it takes to compete at the highest level.
When the final horn sounded, 2Way World Series had secured a 7–6 win and the 2025 Lacrosse World Series Championship. They finished the tournament a perfect 7–0, having defeated top-tier opponents with a mix of athleticism, discipline, and clutch execution. Entering the week as the #5 team in the country, they left no doubt about who deserved to be in the talks for #1.
