It wasn’t just the high school squads battling it out in the heat at Maryland Cup—our middle school teams showed up and shook things up. With talent, grit, and some surprising results, these younger teams made a strong impression to close out the summer season. Let’s take a look at who stood out:
2030
In the Stevenson Bracket, Long Island Top Guns Purple took the top spot with a perfect 3-0 record. They earned convincing wins over Salt City Green and Yellow Jackets Mid Atlantic VA, with their closest contest coming in a three-goal victory over Ambition.
In the Towson Bracket, #20 Yellow Jackets O’Sullivan and Steps Elite NJ White both finished 2-0-1 after tying in their head-to-head matchup. Each picked up wins over Yellow Jackets North Tiso and Lake Effect Storm Red.
#15 Team 91 Long Island Frenzy led the UMBC Bracket with a 2-0-1 record. They opened with a tie against #13 Monster Purple, then rolled to dominant wins—shutting out ADK Peak 14–0 and defeating Steps Elite NJ Blue 8–1.
In the Washington Bracket, top-ranked #2 Yellow Jackets Babst lived up to their billing with a 2-0-1 finish. After tying their opener against #12 Long Island Top Guns Black, they delivered big wins over #14 Salt City Pink (10–3) and Yellow Jackets Mid Atlantic DMV (14–0).

The UMBC Bracket saw three teams turn heads with impressive performances:

Legends 31 Gold went 3-0, opening with dominant wins over Long Island Top Guns Purple (10–4) and Ambition White (15–1), then holding off Salt City Green in a tight 8–6 battle.

FLG Navy also finished 3-0, racking up big wins over Monster White (13–2) and Ambition Blue (16–5), and edging Top Guns Purple in a one-goal thriller.

Salt City Green played four games, going 3-1 with their only loss coming against Legends. They secured victories over Ambition White, Ambition Blue, and Monster White.
In the Washington Bracket, three powerhouses—#8 Monster Purple, #5 Long Island Top Guns Black, and #6 Team 91 Long Island Crush—each went 2-1 and beat up on one another in dramatic fashion:

Monster Purple picked up a revenge win over Top Guns and defeated Yellow Jackets Mid Atlantic Whalen, but fell by one goal to Team 91.

Top Guns Black defeated Team 91, breaking their summer tie, and also remained undefeated against Yellow Jackets with another solid win.

Team 91 Crush took down both Monster and Yellow Jackets to complete their 2-1 showing.

#3 Monster Purple was the standout team in the 2032 division, going undefeated at 3-0. They opened with a commanding 18–2 win over Yellow Jackets Mid Atlantic 33/34 Counts, followed by a hard-fought 8–5 victory over #1 Long Island Top Guns Black, and capped their run with a win over Salt City Pink—continuing their perfect record against them this summer.
While the Middle School pool was smaller, the competition was intense, and the matchups delivered a fitting end to an exciting summer season.
