Mid-Season #1 - Boys Baltimore Crabs (2023)

Club lacrosse teams are most successful when they are able to retain the players year in and year out. The Baltimore Crabs 2023 squad has mastered this idea, and 80 percent of the team has played together since their 7th grade year.

The 2023 team is currently 11-0 and ranked #1 overall nationally for their respective class. Some notable wins from this past fall for the team include:

#4 overall Madlax DC Dogs (x2) | 7-6 & 6-5

#5 overall Eclipse AA | 10-8

#7 overall Leading Edge | 7-4

#10 overall Juiced Cherries | 9-6

#12 Laxachusetts Black | 10-2

Crabs Lacrosse founder Ryan McClernan has been coaching for 35 years now, and each year gets better for him to teach and inspire the youth before he finds spots for them in college. He was the former high school head varsity coach at Greenwich High School (CT), head JV coach at Mt. St. Joe (MD), and a head freshman coach at the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland (MD).

“We are really excited for our last summer together,” McClernan said. “Our goal is to be in contention to win at every event.”

With this team being together for so long, the chemistry has been a rare gift for this club. The Crabs will be at Crabfeast and NFL National Championship events this summer, so watch out for these players during the course of the tournaments:

#22 Kyle Foster - OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY COMMIT, Defender, Boys Latin School of Maryland (MD)

#17 JP Henry - MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY COMMIT, Attackman, Shady Side Academy (PA)

#8 Ethan Salvia - MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY COMMIT, Attackman/Midfielder, Shady Side Academy (PA)

There are several talented players at these tournaments, but this has got to be one of the most talented teams coming into these events. Make sure you want out for McClernan’s squad at these events.
