Laney is a talented midfielder. She utilizes her height and speed to her advantage moving the ball quickly in transition. Her dodging on her 1v1’s makes it difficult for opponents to keep up with her excellent footwork and drive to get towards cage. She is a balanced player that can shoot with power and distance, but also weave through traffic and place the ball in the back of the net inside the 8. Her ability to impact the play by moving well on and off ball always makes her a threat. She will continue to keep fine tuning her defensive stance to absorb her opponent’s pressure with bent elbows and drive her out with her legs. Laney has fantastic vision working a two-person game while driving because she keeps her head up and finds the open cutter. She hustles in everything she does on the field.
