Tessa is an impressive goalie both in and out of the cage. She is strong when handling pressure outside of the goal circle and can clear the ball to midfield to jump-start her offense. Her fast feet and even quicker hands enable her to move swiftly and stop shots on goal. She leads her defense well while coordinating where the ball is, transitioning into a clear, and being a trail for her low defenders to switch the ball to the opposite side of the field away from pressure. Tessa will continue to work on keeping the ball in her stick to ensure it does not pop up and out for a 50/50 ball, which could allow her opponents the opportunity at another shot on goal. She will also need to stay persistent when it comes to her footwork to enhance her reaction with an explosive first step. Her ability to track the ball while moving on her arch as the ball rotates, steps towards the ball into the save, and gets her stick down low with good body positioning contributes to just how tremendous of a player she is.
