Mackenzie is an outstanding defender. She is solid in 1v1 defense and communicates well with her teammates on fielding cutters and talking through picks of whether to switch or stay with. Her speed and ability to handle the ball well when under pressure on the clear in transition is exceptional. She is assertive on ground balls and has a quick reaction time to time interceptions. She will continue to fine tune her defensive positioning with good form of bent elbows to absorb the pressure from her opponent. Her footwork is stellar as she keeps up with the shiftiest players and is in full control of directing her opponent down and away from cage.
