Rowan is a lockdown defender. She has amazing field awareness to pick off passes with interceptions and takeaways on 50/50 ground balls. Her defensive stance is low while staying light on her toes to being to stay with the shiftiest opponents. She showcases great speed in the clears into transition where she can outrun her competitors. She will continue to work on moving the ball quickly up field and utilizing her non-dominant hand to keep it in her outside hand away from pressure. Solid 1v1 defense and is relentless off the draw circle to secure her team possession. She has an excellent rip shot on goal with accurate placement when she runs midfield.
