Preston excels at stopping shots on the doorstep, and he does a great job at matching the shooter’s stick head and angle. He stays high and explodes up on shots to the top of the net with a very strong top hand. He is athletic enough to get out of the net to help on the clear, and is always looking up and out to jump start transition. The only criticism of Preston would be that he does give up a lot of rebounds, but that’s a side effect of how instinctual he is in the cage.
