Sam is a tall rangy defenseman who uses his length to disrupt opponents. He has a great stick, and likes to run in transition. He has the ability to stay and play a little offense which is impressive, I’d slot him as an LSM at the next level. He needs to work on his on ball defense, he relies too heavily on his stick and athletic ability as opposed to playing good fundamental defense
