Preston is a big defenseman with a very good understanding of team defense. He moves well and plays very sound fundamental defense on ball. He throws good checks without sacrificing body positioning, which is rare in young defensemen. He has a good stick, but if he can improve his stickwork he'll be an even bigger threat in transition.
