Garrett is a big physical defenseman with good footwork for his size. He is relentless on ball, but sometimes gets himself out of position with his aggressiveness. He has all the physical tools to be a shut down defenseman, but needs to work on his fundamental positioning so he isn’t relying on takeaway checks as much.
