Jacob is a very athletic defenseman who is great on the ground and has the stick skills to run in transition. He is very adept at picking off passes, and doesn’t get overly slap happy with his checks. He does need to be more careful of getting himself out of position when he goes for an over the head or a takeaway check, better players will tuck their sticks and run by him.
