Louis is a fundamentally sound defenseman who does a good job of bringing his feet with him when he throws checks. He stays under control and doesn’t rely on takeaway checks, instead shutting his man down with footwork and positioning. Louis just needs to continue working on his stick skills, but he already is a good shutdown defender.
