Maura is a quality defender. Her excellent anticipation reading the field enables her to come up with multiple interceptions and 50/50 ground balls. She has good vision in clears and transitioning the ball to offense. Another way she contributes is when she does middie runs where she capitalizes on offense by scoring opportunities for herself and assisting her teammates. She applies good 1v1 defensive pressure on ball and communicates well in double teams to cause turnovers. She will continue to utilize her non-dominant hand more to make her a dual threat, especially to handle the pressure in clearing the ball. Maura has good team defense in keeping her head on a swivel and communication through switches.
