Jack is a solid defender who moves his feet well and doesn’t get overly stick happy when he’s on ball. He has great defensive body positioning, keeping his man away from the danger areas just by his approach. He’s athletic enough to clear the ball himself, and is good on the ground. I like that he doesn’t throw crazy checks, but he will need to start adding some takeaway checks to his arsenal while maintaining his footwork skills if he wants to be an elite defender.
