Makayla is a reliable defender. She anticipates well on when to double team, slide to ball, and crash to help on team defense. She fields cutters and stays marked up with good communication. Her defensive stance staying low and directing her opponent down and away from cage is superb. Makayla will continue to work on handling pressure when clearing the ball and utilize both hands to be a dual threat. Her field vision when clearing the ball recognizing her open teammates and moving the ball quickly up the field with excellent passes helps contribute to her team’s success.
