Ben is a big physical defenseman with a sneaky stick. He doesn’t throw huge checks, but is very effective with pokes and lifts. He is not afraid to throw his body around, and he has the stick skills and athleticism to run the field in transition. Ben needs to continue working on his footwork and on-ball defense, but he has a very good base already.
