John Ryan is an athletic FOGO who can win it to himself just as easily as goosing it to one of his wings. He is a scrapper who doesn’t give up on the play if he doesn’t win the draw, and gains possessions from winning the ground ball battles. He looks a little uncomfortable with the ball in his stick however, looking to get rid of it almost as soon as he has it. He’ll want to develop that confidence with the ball, otherwise teams will start doubling him right off the draw.
