Jacob is an athletic pole who can run the field in transition and is great on the ground. I think he projects more as an LSM than a close defenseman, he’s a menace in the middle of the field. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any examples of him playing good fundamental defense, so that is something he will have to focus on if he wants to take the next step. Takeaway checks are great, but I’d like to see examples of his on ball footwork.
