Mia has all the makings of a great defender and I think her play will definitely translate at the college level. She plays a very traditional type of defense with extremely strong fundamentals. Speaking of strong, she can hold her ground and ride attackers out of the 8 meter with ease. She also has great instincts, always knowing when to slide or send the double and she will see the play through until it is over. If she can continue to play like she is now, she will no doubt make an impact as a college defender.
