Sophia is a standout two-way midfielder. She drives hard to cage in her 1v1’s and finishes the ball well with good shot placement. Her field vision while driving to cage to create a draw and dump with her open teammate is superb. She displays excellent hustle and grit on 50/50 ground balls off the draw circle. Sophia has fantastic footwork on defense to keep up with shifty opponents while forcing them out by applying high pressure with quick reaction time to get back and help on team defense. Her versatility in utilizing both hands makes it difficult to guard. Sophia will continue to push her creativity on offense and highlight more of her hustle plays in redefending.
