Tessa is a standout defender. Her all-out hustle on 50/50 ground balls is unmatched. She creates multiple caused turnovers with interceptions, knockdowns and clean checks. She has solid 1v1 defense and does an excellent job driving her opponents out and forcing low angle shots. Her team defense and anticipation of when she needs to slide, and crash is superb. Tessa clears the ball efficiently with good field vision and utilizes both hands to evade attackers in the redefend. She displays good composure with stick handling skills while under pressure. She will continue to improve on her defensive footwork to stay matched with the shiftiest players.
