Paige is a skilled defender. She does an excellent job at fielding cutters and stepping up on 1v1 drives by getting in her opponents’ hands and redirecting them away from cage. She demonstrates great field awareness in slowing a fast break with high pressure and knowing when to crash into the 8 on settled defense. Her 1v1 defense is solid and hustles on 50/50 ground balls. Paige has good defensive positioning and knows when to apply high pressure and how to recover in getting back to the 8. She will continue to use both hands in clearing the ball to be a dual threat as well as finding space in the midfield to move the ball quickly in transition.
