Teagan is a terrific defender. She has great field awareness to recognize when to slide to ball and apply pressure giving her teammate time to recover readjust in settled defense. Her good defensive positioning and being patient on her timing to get a clean takeaway is key. She has solid 1v1 defense with quick footwork while staying in her opponent’s hands. Her efforts in clearing the ball by moving into space with fast ball movement up field to jump start the offense makes a big difference. Teagan contributes on the draw circle with one-handed snags and 50/50 ground balls with her grit to earn her team possession. Her great speed in clearing the ball while being a threat as she pushes a fast break to cage creates the defense to slide to her and she takes the opportunity to assist her attacker. She will continue to fine tune her stick skills to be a dual threat.
