Jayci is a fantastic two-way midfielder. She does a great job in recognizing when her defender has let off pressure in her initial dodge and then re-dodges to cage with good shot placement. Her well-timed cuts into the 8 weaving through traffic and being creative with her shot selection is superb. Has good field vision seeing her open teammate by giving accurate assists. She is active in redefending with great hustle and clean checks to create multiple caused turnovers. Jayci demonstrates great composure off the draw circle in a battle for 50/50 balls while maintaining good stick handling and protection while under pressure. Defensively she is solid in 1v1’s not allowing the offense to relax with her relentless pressure to disrupt opponents. She will continue to take more shooting opportunities with her non-dominant and highlight more of her defensive talents on team defense with slides, double teams, etc.
