Blakely is a valuable midfielder. She has good field awareness on settled defense to pick off passes with a quick first step to transition ball and convert for her team. She has solid drives to cage with a good change of speed and direction to place her shot. Her field vision to recognize when to slide on defense or when to feed on offense is great. She moves well off-ball to create scoring opportunities with her cuts to finish the ball inside the 8. Her defensive pressure in the ride to cause turnovers and capitalize with a goal or an assist is excellent. On the draw circle she has great hustle on 50/50 ground balls as she accelerates out of pressure. She will continue to utilize her non-dominant more to be a dual threat and highlight more of her defensive talents in 1v1 matchups.
