Makenna is a fantastic two-way midfielder and draw specialist. She tracks the ball very well at the draw with a lot of grit in her one-handed snags, 50/50 ground balls, and clean checks. Her cuts off-ball with a change of speed and finishing her shot on the run with good shot placement is textbook. She has effective dodges and re-dodges to catch while being dynamic with both hands making it difficult to match her. She displays great field vision to see an open teammate and give precise assists. Has the ability to handle pressure well when inside the 8 to get a quality shot off with her quick release. She is active in redefending by working hard in the midfield to create multiple caused turnovers before allowing the opponent to get into their offense. Her solid defensive positioning in her 1v1’s holding her space and forcing her opponent out is superb. Makenna will continue to push her creativity in her shot selection and keep fine tuning her stick skills.
