Charles is a very offensive minded LSM who isn't afraid to take it to the cage himself. He has good offensive instincts, and is very active in the middle of the field off the faceoff wing or in transition. Like a lot of young LSMs, he relies way too much on takeaway checks on the defensive end. He seemingly lets himself get beat so he can throw recovery checks, but that will only work for so long.
