Alonzo is a bigger defenseman with good footwork and solid stick skills. He uses his body well to keep his man from getting to the danger areas, and can carry the ball upfield in transition with skill. He doesn't force a ton of turnovers, but that isn't always a bad thing in a young defeseman. He has good foundational footwork, and the takeaway checks can be learned. I'd like to see him continue to work on those checks as he grows and develops, and become a more well rounded defenseman.
