Blake is a superb goalie. She reads the shot on cage very well by tracking her opponent’s final release of the ball. She does an excellent job getting her body behind the ball and aligning the ball in her stick with her dominant hand while stepping into the shot to cut off the angle. Her ability to stay composed while under pressure outside of the cage and still get a quality clear out to her teammates is outstanding. Blake has quick reaction time and good movement between the pipes adjusting to where the ball is. She is patient in her clears, but also reads the field well of when to give her teammates long and accurate clears to help jump start her offense. Blake will continue to challenge on 50/50 ground balls near her crease and being a threat off-ball to help gain interceptions contributing even more towards her team’s success.
