Ami is a terrific defender. She handles pressure well by staying composed when clearing the ball with good acceleration and utilizing both hands. Her great field vision in understanding where her teammates are in the clear helps her move the ball efficiently up field. Ami has solid 1v1 defense when stepping up to meet her opponent outside of the 8-meter and 12-meter when pressuring out high. Her good defensive positioning of a solid stance while driving with her legs and quick footwork is excellent. Ami will continue to highlight more team defense with slides, fielding cutters, and ground balls out of pressure inside the 8-meter.
