Clare is an excellent goalie. She has a great first step towards the ball by clamping down on low shots with her body behind the shot and top hand at the head of her stick overtop of the ball. She does a great job of giving a nice half cradle to absorb the shot in her stick and not allowing the ball to pop out. Clare tracks the ball well with fast ball movement by offenses and does not give up her positioning on shot fakes until the ball is released on the shot. She demonstrates patience in clearing the ball and good Lacrosse IQ to be a defensive trail and swing the ball to the opposite side to switch the field. She will continue to reset quickly between shots and keep fine tuning her quick hands.
