Ella is a proficient midfielder and draw specialist. She is strong on the draw circle with one-handed snags and great hustle on 50/50 ground balls to secure her team possession. Has good field vision offensively for assists and defensively gaining interceptions. She applies great defensive pressure by staying locked on her opponent to deny the adjacent outlet. Her communication is well on defense when covering switches and stepping up to continue pressing out on ball. Offensively Ella cuts well off ball to create scoring opportunities and has good shot placement by changing her levels. Her two-man game of slipping off the double team into space for her teammate to feed her inside the 8 and get a quality shot off is textbook. Ella will continue to work on her creativity on offense with her dodges and utilizing her non-dominant hand. She will also continue to keep working on her defensive footwork to stay matched with shifty opponents.
