Lucas is an athletic goalie who isn't afraid to come out of the cage and be very active in the clearing game. He throws accurate passes, and keeps his head upfield to start transition. Like other athletic goalies, he sometimes relies too heavily on reaction time instead of good technique, and he tends to guess low before shooters even release the ball. He needs to focus on staying more controlled in the goal so he doesn't get himself out of position.
