Tate is a terror in the middle of the field as an SSDM, consistently picking off passes and being athletic while running in transition. He has enough offensive skill that teams have to respect him as a threat, leading to more open opportunities for his teammates. The film didn't have a ton of 1v1 defense, but he is physical and aggressive in the clips that are there. I'd like to see more examples, but Tate seems like a solid young SSDM who just needs to keep developing as he grows.
