Katerina is a dependable goalie. She has quick hands and a good reaction time. She does a good job of getting her body behind the ball on low shots. Her ability to track the ball well as it’s being quickly passed around the offensive end from either high to low or from behind goal to inside the 8-meter is great. Katerina anticipates the shooter’s placement well by reacting to when they release the ball instead of being baited by shot fakes. She is patient when clearing the ball but also understands when to give a quick clear to help jump start her team’s offense. She will continue to work on giving a half cradle when stopping high shots to prevent the ball from bouncing out of her stick.
