Nick is a tall defenseman who uses his extended reach very effectively. He does a good job of staying on hands, and relies on lifts and footwork to cause takeaways rather than going for home run checks. He's good on the ground and has good handles, but his passes can get away from him a bit. Nick will also need to focus on keeping his stick in front of him when he approaches, really maximizing that reach right off the bat.
