Maggie is an exceptional defender. She does an excellent job in her 1v1’s by establishing contact outside of the 8-meter and maintaining it while driving her opponent out. Her great field awareness in recognizing when her cutter is leaving while staying tightly marked as well as seeing where the ball is to make a play on it and gain interceptions is superb. Maggie displays good team defense understanding when to slide early and ability to create caused turnovers by coming up with key ground balls. Her ability to utilize both hands in clearing the ball makes her a dual threat to redefend. She hustles with good speed and has quick hands in her trail checks for multiple takeaways. Maggie will continue fine tuning her stick skills and keep up her defensive footwork to stay with shifty players.
