Soleil is an incredible defender. She has good field awareness while defending off-ball to recognize a 50/50 ground ball and secure her team with a key possession. She does a great job of clearing the ball and moving it efficiently up field. Her excellent movement on team defense of sliding early to stop ball and maintain contact driving the opponent out of the critical scoring area is superb. Soleil has solid 1v1 defense by establishing contact and forcing the player down and outside of the lane to cage. She is versatile with both hands making her a dual threat. She is confident in her ball handling skills and can push transition into the offensive end and can go to cage and finish. She will continue to keep fine tuning her stick skills and highlight more of her team defense in fielding cutters and communicating through switches and picks.
