Matthew is a solid LSM who is better on the defensive end than a lot of other young LSMs. He can run the field in transition and has solid stick work, but his on ball defense is also strong. He doesn't just rely on his stick and recovery checks, he moves his feet is physical at the point of attack. He plays some short stick as well, which helps contribute to his strong stick skills. Matthew just needs to keep improving his all around game as he develops.
