Finnley is a fantastic defender. She has excellent ball awareness and gets her stick up to get a knockdown or interception. Her great handling skills of keeping the ball always in her outside hand away from pressure by being versatile with both hands. She does a good job of pressuring out in her 1v1 matchups and quickly adjusting her positioning to drive the opponent out. Finnley keeps her head on a swivel and is ready to slide quickly in team defense. Showcases good speed in accelerating through a ground ball into space to clear the ball and jumpstart her team’s offense. Finnley is more than capable of getting middie reps being able to shoot and feed on the offensive end too. She will continue to work on fine tuning her defensive footwork and highlighting more of her team defense in fielding cutters and communicating through switches and picks.
