Sawyer is an athletic goalie with quick hands. He reacts quickly and stays centered in the cage, although he does flail a bit when he's uncertain. He sinks low in his stance, but does a good job of coming up fast for the save. He tends to guess and start to cheat low, he'll have to correct that as he develops. Better shooters will take advantage of it and go high on him.
