Ella is a fantastic midfielder and draw specialist. She has a quick first step at the draw to box out and secure her team a key possession. She also has good placement of the ball to her teammates on the draw circle. Her versatility with both hands in transition as well as going to cage makes it tough to defend her. She has great anticipation of where the ball is going while redefending in the midfield to gain interceptions and create caused turnovers as well as convert on goal. Ella cuts well off-ball into the 8-meter and controls the ball to finish on cage with good shot placement. She has excellent field awareness of being off-ball on team defense to slide early and capitalize on her opponent’s errant pass to force a turnover. She does a great job of staying tightly marked on cutters and keeping her stick in the passing and shooting lane to deflect. Ella will continue to fine tune her stick skills and keep pushing her creativity on the offensive end.
