Jaxon is a physical and fundamentally sound defenseman who has great speed in transition. He uses that speed to close well when he's on ball, not letting his many get to the danger areas. He has good stick work as well, and is smart off ball when it comes to jumping passes and being a second slide. I'd like to see Jaxon improve his on ball stick checks, he already has good footwork so the next step in his development will be to add some takeaway checks to his arsenal
