Jesse is an athletic and opportunistic defenseman who does a good job of preying on players who don't know he's there. He's physical and has good stick skills, and he throws accurate checks. He is an expert at knocking down or intercepting passes, which makes it hard for the offense to get skip passes through. I'd like to see him push transition harder, he has the skills and athleticism to be a threat but he tends to pull up and pass instead of making someone pick him up.
