Ethan is a physical defender who does a good job of keeping his stick active on ball. He doesn't let his man get any breathing room, constantly peppering him with slaps and pokes. He moves his feet well, and works hard to keep his man from getting top side. He also has good stick skills in the open field, although I'd like to see him be a bigger threat in the clearing game.
