Sophia is a skilled midfielder. She does a fantastic job contributing on the draw circle boxing out with her quick first step and wrangling in one-handed catches. She moves the ball efficiently up field in transition finding her open teammates quickly to capitalize on fast breaks. Her ability to utilize both hands makes her a dual threat. Her excellent footwork in her defensive 1v1 matchups and applying pressure out is superb. Sophia has well placed shots and keeps her head on a swivel looking for the next opportunity to either score or assist. Her great field awareness of finding an open cutter and giving an accurate feed while on the run in transition is textbook. Sophia will continue to highlight more of her offensive 1v1’s and push her creativity in shot selections.
